I'm a studio potter/ceramic artist. I live and work on the south mountain, very near Wolfville, Nova Scotia. My studio is a log cabin, with water from a well drawn up with a hand-pump and heated on a wood stove or kettle. My studio assistance includes two wildly enthusiastic and often entertaining big white dogs and a slightly gimpy cat, nick-named Bob.

I've been told my functional work has a "relaxed aesthetic". I guess I could take that a lot of different ways, but what pleases me most is when people feel comfortable using my pottery in their everyday life. It's not intended to be "precious". It is meant to go in the oven and the dishwasher and hopefully even survive when it gets knocked on the floor.
